Peru flag monument is alight with LEDs

Peru flag monument is alight with LEDs Visitors to a national monument in Peru can see it lit-up following the installation of LED lights.

The National Flag Monument Plaza, located in Lima, impressed crowds recently as it glittered with LED lighting in time for a public holiday.

In addition, LED lighting was also used to add atmosphere to a national celebration recently held on the plaza.

LED technology was installed by international company, Solar Outdoor Lighting (Sol) and is expected to be cost effective and last approximately 50,000 hours.

In addition to requiring little maintenance, due to a reduced need to replace bulbs, the lighting will produce vivid colours and patterns.

Michael Sonnenfeldt, chairman of Sol, said: "Sol's new LED lighting found a wonderful showcase in this important plaza.

"Sol's IllumiBrite LED lighting provides better colour rendition and light pattern while consuming less energy."

Sol has been running for the last 18 years and operates in up to 50 countries.
