Lightweight LED screen unveiled
A company has designed a lightweight LED screen that it believes will appeal to advertisers.
Developed by LAADtech, the LED screen is 25 per cent lighter than others on the market.
Peter Inglis, team leader at the company, states that the screens can be easily attached to existing billboards and once working do not need extensive structural support to be held in place.
The company developed the new range of LED screens because it realised how important they are to the advertising and leisure industries.
In addition to advertising products, LEDs boards are frequently used at sporting and musical events.
Mr Inglis states the businesses are likely to welcome the mobile aspect of the new screens.
"Our screens are a maximum of 20 millimetres thick and can be folded up. This means we can retro-fit the screens to existing billboards without any modifications to support the weight," he said.
"Dynamic billboards have the advantage of being able to display more advertising and make it possible to manipulate the display for different times of the day," he added.
Titan Worldwide recently installed LED screens incorporating GPS technology on buses so companies can adapt adverts to the vehicle's location.
