Danish station gets LED display

Danish station gets LED display A television station in Denmark has added an LED display to its broadcasts.

TV2 is the second-highest profile terrestrial network in the country and is using the LED display to add a fresh dimension to its news programmes, reports L&Si Online.

The display consists of eight by five LED panels and is used as both a background for news presenters and to show graphics relevant to the particular story being covered.

No other Danish TV channel has ever used such a display, and TV2 opted to introduce it after a highly successful test last year when they used a similar display as background to its coverage of Denmark's parliamentary elections.

The LED panels were described as being ideal for the news broadcasts.

The camera is located around 30 metres in front of the screen and at this distance the colour, brightness and quality of image are perfectly suited for television viewers.
