A US company has won contracts which see emergency messages displayed on LED screens.ViaRadio, from Florida, has joined forces with cities in the state to provide equipment which alerts the public to possible dangers such as hurricanes.Sean Crane, vice president at the company, explained that schools and fire services could also benefit from the innovative technology which can prepare them if natural disasters occur.

LED screens will soon be erected in a US state to notify the public about emergency situations.Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the LED boards have been donated by the Outdoor Advertising Association.Up to 75 of the screens will be installed in the city in order to display information concerning weather warnings, fire alerts and chemical attacks.
