Broadway musical uses LED screens
The owner of an animation company believes the use of LED screens in a Broadway production could boost trade.
Michelle and Jerry Chambless are owners of Illum Productions which recently created a digital backdrop for Broadway show 9 to 5.
The company's animations include a blue bird and a castle which will be beamed from an LED screen measuring 20-feet by 30-feet.
Ms Chambless states that the use of LED screens on Broadway productions was becoming popular and she believes more theatres could start using them.
"We hope that this brings us a little bit of visibility for other projects," she told the Bradenton Herald.
"We're hoping that this animation will show animation is not just for the movies and films and this type of work doesn't just exist in LA and New York."
The company is based in Florida and in addition to animations it can also provide visual effects and broadcast production services.
