Film festival gets LED screens
LED screens have been installed at an international film event in order to boost advertising revenue.
Two LED screens were unveiled at this year's Middle East International Film Festival as they are expected to be more effective than traditional advertising platforms such as television.
Provided by Synaxis Media, both LED screens were placed outdoors with one incorporated on to an eight-foot cylinder.
Fahad Al Absi, marketing director at the company, stated that using the innovative technology for advertising is more likely to successfully target today's consumers.
"We believe our new outdoor LED Screens can make a difference," he told AME Info.
"Traditional media is not enough to engage today's mobile consumer. Digital out-of-home media makes it possible to engage the target market while they are out and about, living their daily lives."
Held in Abu Dhabi, the festival saw celebrities turn out to watch a variety of international screenings.
Last year's event lasted for ten days and attracted film submissions from 35 countries.
