LED video wall features in Pop Idol spin-off

LED video wall features in Pop Idol spin-off Slovakia's answer to the UK's Pop Idol television show featured an impressive stretch of "magical" LED video wall recently.

The series, reportedly the highest rated TV show ever in Slovakia, used 28 panels of screen which could be divided to allow performers to enter and exit the stage, Entertainment Technology Press reports.

Indeed, the technology was described as a "magical wall" by Slovakia's best-selling daily newspaper, as every performer had the opportunity to perform in front of new video footage.

Footage was adjusted according to the tone of each song, including rock, disco and the slower tempo of ballads.

Further panels were also used to create large cylindrical displays at either side of the performance space.

Broadcast twice a week between October and December, the show gave thousands of viewers the chance to see LED video screen technology in action.
