Thank you for all your help in the installation of the Help Desk Control system. The system has been up and running for over a year, and surpassed the trial findings. We were able to achieve a complete system payback within 6 months.

Singapore National Day features LED display

Singapore National Day features LED display While the Olympics in Beijing grabbed all the headlines, there was another city in Asia that had an impressive LED display recently.

Singapore's National Day, which celebrates the country's independence, features 5,000 performers on a mass tableau on a floating platform which was 120 metres wide by 83 metres deep, with a grandstand containing over 30,000 spectators next to it.

But an LED display was one of the highlights, with 1,800 square metres of custom-made LED netting framing the back of the stage, and four media servers controlling the screen, reports Projection, Lights and Sound News.

"I've always liked playing with video and lighting, however I've never had the chance to work with it on such a massive screen and have total creative freedom to entwine it into the scenic landscape," Paul Collison, the event's lighting director, told the website.

"Playing between the lighting fixtures and the screens is a lot of fun.

"On such a big scale as this, you need to be careful to not take over the whole stage."
