Wales AE waiting times worst
NHS Wales officials have admitted they need to "improve patient experience" in hospital waiting rooms, as new figures show one of its largest hospitals has the longest waiting times in the country.
Figures from the NHS show that emergency patients at the University Hospital of Wales face waits of more than four hours for treatment.
Waiting time figures produced by the National Assembly reveal that some patients are waiting up to eight hours before being seen by a doctor.
Jonathon Davies, director of operations for the Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust, admitted that further progress was required.
Speaking to the South Wales Echo he said: "The Trust is working closely with its health and social care partners in looking at further ways of improving the patient experience through reduced treatment times."
PolyComp's range of LED display systems are used in hundreds of doctors' surgeries, dentist practices and hospital waiting rooms nationwide.
While they cannot speed up the waiting process, they do offer patients clear information about the duration of their visit and can be programmed to offer medical advice.
