LED lights 'proving popular' as Christmas decorations

LED lights 'proving popular' as Christmas decorations Increasing numbers of householders are choosing to decorate their homes with LED lights, according to industry experts.

LED experts, Christmas Lights Etc, claims that LED lighting is becoming so popular a larger number of Christmas decorations are being designed with the innovative technology in order to meet demand.

The company states that the appeal of LED technology lies in its energy efficiency and quality of light.

A 98 per cent energy saving is made when using LED lights as opposed to incandescent bulbs.

In addition, householders have a wide choice of colours and hues when using the modern lighting.

"This year more than ever, LEDs are being purchased as a cost-conscious, energy-saving alternative for lighting home fronts, rooftops and Christmas trees," the company said.

"Holiday LEDs come in a variety of shapes and colour options."

This Christmas, Covent Garden will glow with 46,000 LED lights as part of its festive display.
