17-screen LED boards unveiled
Guests attending events at a sports venue in Ontario can now watch games unfold on 17 LED boards.
The £4.2 million boards replace a traditional video system and were recently unveiled at the Air Canada Centre.
An extensive renovation project has taken place to mark the tenth anniversary of the centre which holds National Hockey League (NHL) games.
Curtis Emerson and Dwayne Brown will operate the newly installed LED boards and are reporting that the innovative technology offers more vibrant displays.
In addition, NHL fans are likely to be impressed by the replays, scores and sporting images that the boards will show, according the operators.
The pair searched many other venues for ideas before they settled on their 17-screen LED display.
"We went on a tour of about a dozen arenas in North America to see what they had and what we could learn from them, and we are happy with what we have now," said Mr Brown.
Other games that will be beamed from the centre's LED screens include lacrosse and basketball.
