LED display lights up Grand Prix ball
An LED display helped add to the ambience at the annual British Grand Prix Ball in the Clubhouse of the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC).
The ball was held the Friday before the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and marked the 80th anniversary of the BRDC and the 60th anniversary of Grand Prix Racing at Silverstone, where the clubhouse is located, reports Projection, Lights and Sound News.
The LED display illuminated the roof level canopy and first floor of the clubhouse with colour-changing light and a video effects wall draped across the balcony viewing areas which displayed messages and visuals.
Martin Brundle, the former racing driver, hosted the event which was attended by BRDC president and former Formula 1 champion Damon Hill, as well as some of the world's best racing drivers.
Lighting was also installed for vintage cars and the recent Le Mans 24 Hour race winner, the Aston Martin DBR9, which were on display.
