New LED scoreboards for Oriole Park

New LED scoreboards for Oriole Park Baltimore’s Oriole Park baseball ground has been installed with two new LED scoreboards ahead of the new season.

The larger LED scoreboard cost in excess of $5 million and is state-of-the-art with 472,000 pixels displayed on the 2,000 square foot surface.

The screens were completed by the Maryland Stadium Authority, which also installed a Jumbotron and a selection of smaller video boards around the Camden Yard ground.

Maryland State Governor Martin O’Malley toured the stadium yesterday to view the new technology.

"I'm greatly impressed with the scoreboard and I'm glad it's done," Mr O'Malley commented during the unveiling.

The completion of the LED installation comes just in time for the Orioles first game of the baseball season on Monday.
