Plans outlined for new sports scoreboard at Henry Aaron Field

Plans outlined for new sports scoreboard at Henry Aaron Field A new scoreboard will take centre stage at Henry Aaron Field, the home of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) baseball team, when installed later this month.

The remotely controlled LED display, measuring ten feet high and 44 feet wide, will showcase action from across the ballpark as well as featuring animated graphics and statistics.

"We are always trying to find ways to upgrade our baseball program and upgrading our facilities is number one on that list," UWM head coach Scott Doffek said. "This is a step in the right direction."

Local MLB side Milwaukee Brewers and Time Warner Cable have joined forces to help fund the development, which will be used to promote the sport amongst the local community.

Henry Aaron Field hosts around 200 games a year featuring adult and youth teams from across the region.

The UWM men's baseball side have recorded six 30-win seasons during the past decade, while they finished third in the NCAA Horizon league last year.ADNFCR-1437-ID-18569945-ADNFCR
