Round Rock installs upgraded scoreboard
A minor league baseball side has fitted a state-of-the-art video scoreboard as part of a new scoring system.
Round Rock Express unveiled the ten-feet-high by 52-feet-wide screen to fans at their first home game this season at The Dell Diamond.
The energy efficient LED display, located in the outfield, will give more than 9,000 spectators the chance to watch crystal clear images from across the Texan ballpark. It will also be able to serve other entertainment purposes that include showing live statistics, animations and graphics.
The Triple-A team, affiliated to the Houston Astros, also acquired four custom LED auxiliary scoreboards measuring 3[three]-feet-high by 16-feet-wide as part of the upgrade project.
Round Rock was founded in 2000 and currently play in the Pacific Coast League. The franchise won the minor league title in their debut season before securing both the conference and divisional championships in 2006.
