Sports scoreboards: Cardiff teams sign stadium agreement
New scoreboards are expected to feature heavily at a £46 million stadium that will be the future home of Cardiff City and Cardiff Blues.
The two teams have agreed a ground sharing deal that will run until 2029 before being reviewed.
Construction of the 25,000 seater venue, which is located in the Leckwith area of the city, is expected to be complete ahead of the 2009-10 season.
Cardiff City chairman Peter Ridsdale hailed the move as "a fantastic day for sport in the city".
He said: "We are very pleased that Cardiff Blues have signed the licence to play all of their home games at the stadium over the next 20 years."
Blues' chief executive Robert Norster added: "We positively look forward to a new beginning for both codes in a stadium and facilities designed for modern-day teams and supporters alike."
City and the Blues will begin their final seasons at Ninian Park and Arms Park later this year.
