WWE rehaul uses LED technology
More than 1.2 million LEDs have been used in a brand new video board set for one of the world's biggest wrestling events.
The stunning LED set was implemented to coincide with the broadcast of World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) Raw event in High Definition (HD) television.
Jason Robinson, set engineer for WWE for more than 12 years, told WWE.com that viewers will see the difference immediately.
"Viewers will notice how vibrant the colours are," he explained. "They are going with a whole new set that is created entirely out of video."
He said that the technology gave set designers a completely new palette of colours and options to play with.
"In HD, the rich colours that these LEDs produce is going to be amazing," he added.
